Curiosity about people and their uniqueness is what drives me; alongside flexibility and openness, these qualities help me understand other people on their own terms, what they want, need, long for and desire. These aspects are part of my relational understanding. By reflecting on past, present and desired relationships, we can create psychic space to get in touch with more aspects of life, and the way these relate to one another.
When we talk about relationships, we can consider these between social groups, cultures, languages, people, ideas, thoughts, feelings or any other kind we can think of.
To paraphrase Adam Phillips: Let's consider together what kinds of interactions you would like to have with others, what hinders you from having them, and why you think those kinds of interactions are worth having.
